Day 677

We got up even earlier today, just after 7.  Then it was pet stuff and Patty’s breakfast.

I was seriously bored after yesterday’s afternoon/evening of doing nothing, so Lucy and I went for a walk.  We went along 101 all the way down to where the A&W used to be.  Traffic was almost non-existent.  So much for the eclipse inspired apocalypse.

Along the way I stopped in a kite store and got a replacement flamingo spinner for Austin.  I also talked to this guy who works at a marijuana store.  He told me they do a booming business selling to tourists.  There was a farmer’s market kind of thing across from where A&W was.  It was about a dozen booths.  There wasn’t anything interesting though.

On the way back I stopped at a garage sale that was being put on by a small apartment complex.  There wasn’t anything interesting.  I didn’t think that there would be.

When I got home I went out on the back porch and read.  The reading turned into a nap.  The nap turned into lunch.  Lunch turned into more reading on the back porch.  Eventually I went back inside to watch football with everyone else.

The rest of the day and evening was spent watching football and surfing.  I surfed on my phone because at least the Verizon internet is working.
