We got up early today, just after 7. Then it was pet stuff and Patty’s breakfast. We had the cherry pie (baked last night).
Then I went off for a walk with the dog. I went back to the school across the street from where the A&W was. There was still no traffic on 101. In fact, there was less than I would expect for a nice Sunday in August.
There wasn’t anything interesting at the farmer’s market. On the way back I stopped briefly to talk to a couple of cops in their car. One was older and the other was young. I asked them if they were glad that the predictions about big crowds were wrong. The old guy said yes, but the young guy seemed a little disappointed.
After that I decided to walk back as close to the beach as possible. I’d never been down there before. It didn’t look to me like there was an over abundance of no vacancy signs.
When I got back we spent the rest of the day surfing, reading, and watching football.
