Day 687

This was a normal Tuesday start, but a little late because we didn't have to watch Hooch's house.  We got up, did pet stuff and had breakfast, and went to the laundromat.  For some reason Ellen decided the top sheet didn't need washing, so she didn't bring it.  When we were done we headed to Portland.

We picked up Mom and went to Michael's.  Mom wanted to get a couple of items and we wanted a frame for the eclipse poster we bought in Newport.  We got everything, but it took awhile.

I called Hooch and he met us at Helvetia for lunch.  He brought Rowdy, so Rowdy and Lucy ate with us.  After that we went back to his place.

We spent part of the afternoon talking.  The place that was fixing his trailer called at 4:30.  They're in Troutdale and said that he should pick it up that afternoon, because the place isn't secure.  So Hooch and I drove out there in the teeth of the rush hour.  It wasn't really that bad - much better than Austin.

When we got back I helped him a little with the trailer and then we had dinner. Martha fixed salmon.  Apparently the kids kept Mom entertained all afternoon.

We talked some more and then left to take Mom home a little before 100.  I'd forgotten that they were paving I5 southbound.  Of course it was blocked, so we took 99 down to aurora and then cut back to I5.  It really wasn't too bad.

We got home in time to go to bed.
