We got up at 7 today. We didn't have to go any place early, we just didn't want to get in the habit of sleeping in. After pet stuff and breakfast Ellen called a lot of places to set up the rest of our campground reservations.
When we were finished we left for Cottonwood. We left the dog at home. We stopped at Wally World on the way for ammo. Then we stopped at "old town Cottonwood". It's a couple of blocks of tourist shops. We bought a couple of small items.
We then went over to the ranger station south of Sedona. I wanted Ellen to get a cheap park pass. Unfortunately we were a month too late. She ended up having to spend $80 for one.
We stopped at a Thai place on the way to Sedona for lunch. It was pretty good.
We drove to downtown Sedona and walked several blocks looking in shops. Ellen had the shits, so part of the time was spent dealing with that. She bought a pair of earrings and I bought a road runner yard art piece.
After a couple of hours we got in the truck and drove back to the high end shops by the river. We were both tired of looking at cheap tourist stuff.
Ellen found another pair of earrings she liked and bought them. I found a really cool lamp in an art gallery. It's made out of a cam shaft and some gears. It will be hard to get home, but we'll manage. All total we probably went through a grand today.
Lucy was really glad to see us when we got home. After dinner we did all of the wash except the sheets and underwear.
The evening was TV and surfing.
