We got up at 7:30 today. After pert stuff and breakfast we were out on the course by a little after 8. It was nice and cool, just over 70.
We shot the Rattlesnake (intermediate) course. It was an OK level of difficulty, but the targets were a little boring. Most of the course has little terrain, about like Salem. There were a couple of challenging stations, including one with a quartering away chondelle that started at 40 yds.
When we were finished there we went to the master course, Road Runner. It was a bust. There was only one or two targets that weren't dead easy. They were boring presentations, too. It looked like they were changing the course over and just had place holder targets out right now. We quit with 40 targets left that we decided to use later on the Rattlesnake hard targets. By then it was 10 and too hot to shoot.
We went back home and hid from the heat in the trailer. We had lunch and surfed until about 4. By then there was a breeze and cloud cover. We went out and shot up the 40 targets.
When we got back we got in the truck and drove about 5 miles south. There's a big commercial area there. We ate dinner at P. F. Changs. It was expensive, but really good.
When we got home we took the dog for a walk. We went over and watched the trap league for about half an hour.
The rest of the evening was surfing, TV and reading.
