Day 833

I woke up a little after 8 this morning, but didn't get out of bed until 9.  Then it was pet stuff and breakfast, followed by going to the apartment.

Ellen painted the bathroom trim piece while I put away all of the stuff that I'd stacked in the living room yesterday.  I also got the new nightstand unpacked and set up.  It's really nice.

After that I got out the tools and dug out the area around the bottom of the apartment steps.  I also built a barrier out of a couple of pieces of treated wood to keep the dirt and rocks off the landing.  Then I put everything away.  When I had finished that I realized that I hadn't done enough.

It was lunch time, so I went in and ate.  Then I surfed.  I felt guilty, so I went back out and finished the work on the apartment steps.  The gravel I ordered came just as I was finishing.  There's been a $8.50/ton price increase since a month ago.  After the truck was gone I moved 6 loads of gravel and put it around the bottom of the apartment steps.  Then I had Ellen take a picture for Melissa.  Melissa had been complaining about the rock at the bottom of the steps while she was here.

I put everything away and then we went to the post office.  We also stopped at HEB and Circle C to run the dog.  When we got home we both had to go online to renew our driver's licenses.

Ellen decided to make stroganof tonight.  She started at 5.  It's 7 now and it's still not ready.  I'm starving.
