We got up about 8:30, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast. There had been some thunderstorm in the night and it was raining a little bit. That lead to a lot of surfing. I also went out and put away all of the stuff in the garage that I hadn't put away after finishing the post.
I'd run out of cereal, so when the surfing got old we drove to the post office and Trader Joe's. There was a really close lightening strike just as we got to the post office. The thunder shook the car. Lucy whimpered. By the time we got to Trader Joe's the rain had tapered off, but there was a lot of thunder when we went into the store. Lucy was not happy to be stuck in the car alone.
We decided to got to the pet store on Lamar to make it up to Lucy. It was raining pretty hard by the time we got to the Barton Creek bridge and traffic wasn't moving. I ended up making a u-turn. On the way home it was raining so hard that I could barely see out the window. Fortunately no one screwed up as we drove back on loop 1.
We decided to stop for lunch at the Italian place. We haven't been there all winter. I had a pizza, it was great. Afterwards we took Lucy to Tomlinson's to make up for the thunder.
I rained pretty hard for the rest of the afternoon and early evening. The weather radio said that a severe thunderstorm with quarter sized hail might hit us. So I went out and put the car in the garage.
Dinner was leftover pizza. I spent part of the evening watching TV and the rest watching a movie.
