Day 1268

I woke up at 7 today and couldn't get back to sleep.  So I spent about an hour surfing, playing games, and playing with the cats.  Then it was get up, pet stuff, and breakfast.

After breakfast I continued with getting ready to leave.  I went out and aired up the trailer and truck tires.  I also checked the trailer lug nuts.  That took awhile and the humidity made it less than fun.  While I was doing that Ellen cleaned the BBQ.  When I was finished I went inside and tried to sign up for a haircut.  Unfortunately they wanted  me to have an account.  Since the wait time was only 18 minutes I decided to just go there.

When I got there the wait time was exactly 18 minutes.  Apparently the golden time is Monday before 11.  When I got there there were two guys waiting.  When I left a little after 11 there were at least 8 and the wait time was 40 minutes.

The next stop was Target for a battery for the new red dot sight (more on that later).  Then we stopped at HEB to replace the moldy hamburger buns.  We tool Lucy for a walk in the park.  Then we took her to Tomlinson's.  It's the last time until November.  The final stop was Torchy's for tacos and pink stuff.

When we got home I put a new battery in the red dot sight.  That's when I discovered that the manual was wrong.  There are two pictures showing the battery going in the wrong way.  I looked at the polarity markings on the drawing to find the right way.  I bet the battery it shipped with will work also, but I didn't try it.

I put the sight on the BB gun and went out the back.  There were a couple of squirrels there playing target.  Unfortunately the sight wasn't quite on, so I don't think I hit them.  I shot pop cans for awhile.  It was fun.  The magazine needs to be a lot bigger though.  I left the gun ready in case the squirrels come back.

One weird thing happened.  A couple of dogs walked past the car and into the back yard.  They were both medium sized mutts with collars.  I went out and chased them towards the street.  I lost sight of them in the trees.  Then I walked the entire property and couldn't find any place where they could have gotten in the fence.  For all I know they are still here.  I'm watching Lucy whenever she goes out for a couple of days.

After that it was some surfing and some music editing.  I took the dog to the mailbox and started to watch TV.  I ended up taking a nap.

Ellen fixed fish burgers for dinner.  After dinner was TV and a little more music editing.
