Day 1266

I got up at 7:45 today.  After pet stuff and breakfast I did a very little surfing and then went out to edge the lawn.  The edger needed several doses of starting fluid before it wouold start and then keep running.  That really wasn't a surprise.

I took me at least an hour and a half to edge the lawn.  It was a little work, kind of like using a gas mower that isn't self propelled.  I actually went a little bit overboard in back and mowed the area by the pond.  I've never done that before.  One weird thing happened.  I was edging against the deck in back and I think it caught fire.  There was a bunch of smoke and I smelled wood burning.  I didn't see any flames.  I got Ellen from the house and had her spray the whole end of the deck while I finished the edging.

When I started the temp was in the low fifties.  By the time I finished it was in the seventies and I was soaked in sweat.  I decided not to shower though and went to Tomlinson's for their Easter thing instead.  It was fun.  We had them draw a caricature of Lucy.  Of course she got plenty of treats, too.

After that we stopped at the post office on the way to Central Market.  We bought salmon to smoke there along with a few other things.  We also stopped at Amy's for ice cream.

The next stop was the donut shop on Brodie.  I wanted to get Lucy a bacon donut, but they didn't have any.  So she got dog cookies when we stopped at Sonic for a BLT.

When we got home I got out all of the implements of destruction and cleaned the inside of the car.  Ellen spent quite awhile on the can and then prepped the salmon for smoking.  I did take a shower whne I was finished with the car.  It was almost 90, so that was the second time today I was soaked in sweat.

The only chore left to do before leaving is washing the car.  We'll probably do that on Tuesday.  It just turned 13,000 today.  That means that we've put on just short of 7,000 miles on it since we got here in November.

After the shower it was surfing while Ellen watched a chick flick.

Dinner was a frozen dinner.  After that we watched the last three episodes of a Netflix show.
