Day 1262

I woke up about 8, but stayed in bed playing games until almost 9.  Then it was pet stuff, breakfast, and start the wash.  It's time to start getting serious with preparations.  I went out to the trailer and put my clothes in the closet.  Ellen did the same.  I also got one of the plastic carryalls and filled it with all of the stuff we've purchased for different people.  I put it in the trailer basement.  That's when I discovered some tools that I'd been meaning to take to Goodwill.  So I loaded them and the stuff we had in the house into the car.

Ellen had a doctor's appointment at 11, so it was time to go.  The appointment didn't last very long.  We were out a little before noon.  The next stop was the post office.

I was going to eat lunch at the new Hop Doddy's that they opened yesterday in the old Freddie's hamburger place.  Unfortunately they don't open until 4.  So I drove to the Goodwill at the Y instead.  Then I took Convict Hill to Escarpment.  We took Lucy to Tomlinson's and then ate lunch at the Italian place.  The next stop was HEB for bananas and milk.

One of the things in the mail was an offer from Wells Cargo for a higher interest savings account.  We stopped in to sign up for it.  We worked with a really nice banker.  It turns out we weren't eligible, but he did get us into an account that pays 1.5% more than we were getting.  We had a great talk with him, too.

When we got home I did a little surfing until Ellen left for Hog Heaven.  Then I did my exercises and took the dog to the mailbox.  Dinner was a HEB meal (shrimp) and salad.

After dinner was TV.  I'm limiting the surfing.
