I woke up a little before 8, played games, and got up for pet stuff and breakfast. For the first time in what seems like weeks I didn't have any pressing things to do except put out the garbage and recycle. I decided to do some RC stuff.
I got out the soldering iron so that I cold make up an adapter from the Furitek ESC receiver connector to the receiver. That involved a lot of finicky soldering. I finally got it done and tested. Now I have to wait for the replacement ESC to show up. After that I located a LED that would fit the empty headlight enclosure I had. I installed it. That's the last thing I had to do to finish sorting all of the lighting stuff.
The final thing I did was make up a kit for attaching lights to the micro-b. I probably won't be using it until we get to Oregon.
I didn't do any trip planning. I'm almost done with it and will probably finish it tomorrow. Today was just for fun stuff.
We both had leftover pizza for lunch. Then we left for errands. The weather was miserable, 83 degrees and 95% humidity. It was an early taste of why we don't spend the summer here. As we were getting in the car Abby chased a deer across the property near the gate. She was keeping up with it.
We picked up cat food at the place near Costco. We went back via Beckett because Mopac southbound was clogged up even though it was 2:30. We stopped at the park and ran Abby for a little bit. It was hot and she wasn't running full out. There was a fountain running in the playground, but I couldn't get her near it. The last stop was HEB for OJ and bread.
When we got home I watched a couple of videos and then fell asleep. When I woke up it was more videos until dinner (a salad). After dinner was even more videos.
