Day 3412

 I woke up a little before 8, got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast.  We left for the car wash a little after 9.  We would have gotten out earlier except Ellen didn't bother to lock away the cats while I was outside putting Stabil in the car and hooking up the Ranger to a charger.  That resulted in Devon not wanting to go to the cat room.  When I finally caught him her scratched the shit out of me because Ellen wouldn't open the cat room door.  It was a painful and bloody experience.

When we got to the car wash it wasn't really busy.  The problem was that they were short handed.  We did the only thing that we could - wait.  It took over an hour to get the car washed.  After stopping for some more cat food we took the car home and parked it in the garage.  It looked like it might rain. 

We took the truck to the voting place and voted.  Then we took Abby to Dripping Springs to run.  We walked a mile.  She ran a lot farther.  After that we went to the pizza place to eat lunch.  Afterwards I sat there while Ellen did grocery shopping.  We stopped and filled up the truck on the way home.

When we got home I rolled out the car so Ellen could wax it and put peppermint in it.  I put the groceries in the trailer and then tried to get the Ranger to run.  The battery was charged, but the thing wouldn't even light up the display when I turned the key.  I checked all of the fuses and they are fine.  Something is bad in the wiring.  I suspect that I'll have to haul it into the dealership.  We just recovered it and it will sit under the trees for the whole summer. 

Of course it was hot and muggy while we were working.  When we got finished Ellen went to sit on the can and I watched videos.  At five Lee called to see if Abby wanted to play.  We went over there.  The dogs wanted to play for a while, but I think that they got hot and tired.  Abby ended up chewing on a bone.  Kai spent a lot of time being petted by Ellen and me.  At least the humans got a lot of talking in.

When we got home I had leftovers for dinner.  Then it was videos for the rest of the evening.  Atone point I did unbox the BB gun that I ordered a couple of days ago.  I'll try using it on squirrels when we get back in the fall.

The only things left to do are the final moving of food clothes, and personal stuff into the trailer.  I'm happy to have the heavy hauling done.
