I woke up at 730, got up, and had breakfast. No food for the pets as it is a travel day. When breakfast was done it was time to do the final loading of the trailer.
Several loads of stuff went out to the trailer. It was stuff like the CPAP machine, the breakfast food, toothbrushes, etc. It took a surprising amount of time to do it. Of course it was hot and muggy even though it was still early morning. The early start had us finishing up about two hours before we could leave.
We killed time surfing. About 11:15 I went out to do the tires. I aired up all of the tires on both the truck and the trailer. I also tightened the lug nuts on the trailer. That took about 45 minutes of sweating in the humidity and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.
With that done we hooked up, loaded up the pets, and left. We decided to take I35 instead of 183, mainly because 183 is a toll road and they rape you when you have a trailer. I35 had a few slow spots through town and A LOT of scary drivers. The construction lasts for a long way North of town, so the ordeal went on for a long time. Eventually we got on regular highway and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way.
The trailer park is out in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't have showers or bathrooms. After setting up we went over to the park. It's an impressive pistol place - maybe 20 or more pits. We didn't see the course, that required a cart. We did get to talk to Mark a little. He was fighting a printer and losing.
We drove to Georgetown to get a water filter. I'd forgotten to buy one. We also got a frozen pizza for dinner. The refrigerator seems to be working again, but we don't trust it. Also, it doesn't seem to cool past 43 degrees. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
When we got back I tried to setup the Starlink. It was blowing and raining a little. When I got out the cable it was covered in dirty water. Apparently the waterproof box it was in wasn't. I didn't notice that the cable plug was dirty. It seemed to plug in fine, but the system wouldn't work. I hope it's a cable problem and I didn't ruin the antenna connection. I had to force the cable to get it disconnected from the antenna. We ordered a replacement cable. It will be here tomorrow.
