I woke up at 7:45 and turned over for a short nap. I woke up at 9. We got up, did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and left for Zion.
When we got to the park there was a sign at the entrance saying that there was no parking in the park. We parked in a lot just outside the entrance. It cost $20. Oh well, we're rich.
We walked into the park and waited to get on the bus that would take us to different places in the park. It was a Disneyland style line and we had to wait for three buses before we got on.
We got off at the stop for Angel's Rest, but we had no desire to repeat the climb. We took a lower trail to three pools connected by waterfalls. The trail was moderately hard, and there were cool views everywhere. We hiked to the two lower pools. The trail to the highest pool was really rough and we didn't feel like walking it.
The trail took us back one bus stop to the lodge. We had a late lunch there. A hamburger, fries, ham sandwich, and two muffins was $24. Oh well, we're rich. We stopped at the gift shop there and bought some jewelry for the nieces. It was almost $60, but oh well, we're rich.
Then we road the bus back to the entrance. I had to stand part of the way because it was so crowded.
We stopped at the gift shop at the entrance. Ellen bought a t-shirt and we bought a stuffed jack rabbit for Patty. I'm not sure how much that was.
We drove home and I drained the tanks. The black tank took quite awhile to drain and clean up. Big chunks of toilet paper and shit were coming out even after I'd flushed it three times. I also backed up the truck so that it's lined up to connect tomorrow. I want to get an early start tomorrow.
The evening was surfing and a little TV.
