Lucy was up to here diarrhea tricks again last night. She ended up getting me up several times about 7, so I just got dressed. I didn't feel like breakfast though. Instead I surfed until I'd found 4 things that we might do today.
Before we did any of them we went to the two pet stores in town, Pet Smart and Petco, and got Lucy some easy to digest food. Then we went to the first place on the list, a craft fair. It was supposed to start about an hour before we got there. When we got there there was no one there. So we went on to #2, the railroad museum.
The museum was a great choice. There was a volunteer there that ook us through the whole place. He discussed the history of the railroad and explained all of the exhibits. He was really entertaining. I left a $20 donation because he was so good.
There was a car show across the street, so we went there. They had some very impressive cars. Some of them were really expensive. The work on some rivaled the car shows I watch on TV. When we were done we looked for activity #3, a Cinco de Maya celebration. It turns out we were at it. There were supposed to be other things besides the car show, but there wasn't anything else to see.
The last item was an area by in the river park. There was supposed to be a min-golf, vendors, music, etc. It was deserted and the mini-golf was closed. We walked along the rive for awhile instead. It was lined with people fishing, but no one seemed to be catching anything. Lucy liked the walk, and I even let her off lead to chase a couple of squirrels.
By then it was after 1 and we were hungry. There was a burger place by the river. We had to park 2 blocks away because their parking lot was small and full, as well as the street places. When we got there it turned out that the place was one where you stood in line to order, then waited until it was cooked before sitting down. There were 40 or 50 people inside. I bagged it.
We ended up eating at a little hole in the wall place we'd passed in the morning. It was just the kind of place I like and it was good. On the way home we stopped at HEB to get canned pumpkin for Lucy and some hamburger buns that I'd forgotten.
When we got home it was nice outside. So I took the computer out to the picnic table and surfed. Later on the shade went away and I went inside to do more surfing. Ellen watched TV. Neither of us felt hungry, so we only ate a small dinner of HEB BBQ and mashed potatoes about 8.
After dinner it was more surfing.
