We got up at 8, had breakfast, and hooked up. We were on the road by 9. That's pretty good time considering I had to hook up also.
The trip itself was uneventful. Unfortunately Devyn screamed for hours. I couldn't listen to the book because his screams overloaded my hearing aids. He finally quit with a little over an hour left. That allowed me to listen for a little while.
We made pretty good time, 58 mph, considering that we were going through several small towns with speed limits and stop signs. We got good mileage, too - about 11.5 or better.
We got to the park at 1. We just sat around for the afternoon. There wasn't any reason to unhook because Quanah and Childress don't have any redeeming social value. Tomorrow's stop, Kinsley, isn't any better. In fact, it doesn't have a gas station.
I spent the afternoon surfing, TV, and napping. Dinner was HEB BBQ and malshed potatoes. We wanted to get rid of the containers.
After dinner was surfing and TV. We're waiting for a thunderstorm that is heading in our direction. Luckily it seems like the worst is yellow with maybe a small amount of red.
