I woke up before 7 and couldn't get back to sleep. I stayed in bed until about 8 though. Then it was pet stuff and breakfast. After a little surfing we packed up the trailer and headed for Medford.
The road there is all up and down. There are three passes to go through - up one, down, and then up the next. It wasn't a fun drive. When we got to Medford we went to a large shopping mall where they were holding an RV show in the parking lot. They had more than 50 RV's there. We met the sales guy there and spent the next two hours or so talking, answering questions, and signing papers.
As we expected they didn't give us much for the trade ins. The total was $19K. That didn't even pay off what we owed on the Cougar. I didn't care though, I just want out of Salem. It does mean I don't feel bad about not telling them about the Mobile Suite problems.
The deal is a little weird. The trailer is in Bend, but they want us to bring the Cougar to Medford. Apparently they want us to bring the trailer to Medford and then drive to Bend to pick up the new one. They claim they'll put us up in a hotel in Bend. This means we won't be able to keep the mattress from the Cougar. That's OK, we were planning on replacing it anyway.
After the deal they recommended that we eat at a Hawaiian place half a block away. We got food there and brought it back to the show. It was good, but how could a "Hawaiian" place not have SPAM?
We went back home after eating lunch. The drive was just a brutal as the one coming down. When we got back we set up and did some surfing. About 5 we went to the Casino. We played a couple of slots and then had dinner. We ordered "light" dinners and still couldn't finish them.
After dinner we went back to the trailer and took the dog for a walk. We went to the travel store. It's actually a pretty complete small grocery store. I got both milk and bananas there.
After the walk back it was TV and surfing.
