Day 1777

We woke up about 7:30, played games for awhile and then did pet stuff.  We also started up the wash.  I got the Bronco out, it started up like a champ.

We decided to have breakfast at the new cafe in town.  It's really the old cafe, new owners.  The service was slow, but the food was pretty good.  They bake bread for sale two days a week, so we ordered a loaf for tomorrow.

We went back to the trailer after that to finish up the wash.  I took the Bronco and filled it up with gas.  I used ethanol free premium.  $24 dollars for 7 gallons.  The Bronco runs really well on it.  Then I stopped by Dan's to see if he had heard from Gerry.  He said Gerry had just called and would be in Baker in an hour and a half.  I went back to the trailer, helped Ellen finish the wash, and we left for Baker.

It was fun driving the Bronco to Baker.  It may not have much power, and the steering is vague, but I like it.  We made pretty good time.  We made a short stop at Bi-Mart for a replacement TV cable and then met everyone at the Chinese restaurant.

Gerry had his wife and daughter with him.  Everyone gave him a lot of shit about how badly he'd shot in Vegas.  I kind of felt sorry for him.  The food was much better than the last time we were there.  They must have changed cooks.  Ellen and I sat in the sun.  It was hot.

We spent several hours having lunch, riding Gerry, and talking.  Then everyone went their separate ways.  We went to the kitchen shop and bought a replacement knife for one that had gotten bent.  It's really nice.

We made a short stop at Safeway for drinks.  The checkout lines were filled with people with problems.  So we went to Maverick for drinks and then back to Richland.

We had leftover Chinese for dinner and then surfed for the rest of the evening.
