Times were messed up this morning because of DST. I do know I was setting clocks at 10:20. After that it was pet stuff and breakfast. Then it was a little surfing.
I decided to program the transmitter for the Ryft. You know, a short job. It didn't turn out that way. I had to undo all of the work I'd done on the motor/transmission assembly all the way back to the gear cover. The pinion gear had come loose. I tightened that and remounted the servo using some stand offs to raise it. Then I spent hours programming the gear select servo. I had to take the servo save on an off several times to get it aligned correctly. Then I had to set two different values on the transmitter to get everything correct. Finally I had to put everything back together.
While I was doing that Ellen was out in the garage painting. I got a package at the mail box and had a sandwich for a late lunch. Then I put everything away. I could have done some more work, but I didn't feel like it.
I did some more surfing, but then wanted to get something more accomplished. I spent quite a while sorting out all of the rest of the hardware left over from my RC experience in the 80's. I put the useful stuff in a plastic case. I also reorganized my other parts case. The result should be much easier to use.
All during this time Ellen was on a chick flick marathon. She came over with a Tiffany website with a nice gold bracelet on it. She wants to buy it for my birthday. I like it, but it got me looking at alternatives as well as possible custom jewelers.
That was it for the day. Ellen fixed orange chicken for dinner. After dinner we watched TV. The DVR was down to 7% empty. I spent 20 minutes deleting stuff we didn't need. We now have 23%, the highest it's been in a long time.
