Day 2309

I woke up at 8 and got out of bed about 8:30.  Then it was pert stuff and breakfast followed by a little surfing.  I checked the email from Grand Design about the recall.  It basically said "have it fixed by a dealer".  That's not an option.

Ellen found a description of the fix on the web.  I involves removing the refrigerator.  It said you could see if the fix was necessary by removing the top vent.  Unfortunately our trailer has a panel that blocks the view.  Crap.  I contacted a couple of mobile fixit places.  One called back to say they couldn't do the job, but warned me that there were a lot of shady people in the business.  The other didn't call back.  Ellen is going to look for more with good reviews.

This is a free day with good weather.  I could have done anything, but I was just totally unmotivated.  I really wanted to do NOTHING.  At my request Ellen went out to prep the TRX-4 body for repaint.  She worked for hours on it.  I surfed.

I actually did a couple of minor things.  I took out the garbage and recycle and cleaned off the leaves on the porch and deck.  I also put away all of the hardware from the old bike rack.  That was it.  Ellen quit work on the body at lunch time.  I don't blame her.

After some more surfing we left for a couple of errands.  We stopped at Lowe's for paint for the Ryft's wheels.  We then went to the pet store for Cooper's treats.  The final stops were the post office and NAPA for more brake cleaner (paint remover).  I had to wait for half an hour at the post office for a package.

When we got home I put a light coat of paint on the Ryft wheels.  Then it was surfing until dinner.  Ellen fixed steaks on the Traeger.  After dinner it was a little surfing, some reading, and TV.  I was very disappointed with the detail part (radiators) that came for the Ryft.  They were supposed to be 1/10 scale, but they are 1/8.  That makes them too big and I don't see any way to adapt them.
