I had a bad night. I've developed a cold. The worst symptom is a voluminous nasal discharge. For some reason it felt like battery acid last night. I was continually waking up to pain. So much for a good sleep. Eventually I gave up trying about 7 and started playing games. The painful drip continued. It had also produced a really sore throat.
I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast. It was low 40's out, so we just surfed the first part of the morning away. I also got a hold of the Medicare people and set up an appointment to talk with them at the end of the month. Ellen got one, too.
Eventually the temp got up to 52 and we decided to go up Provo Canyon to a dog park. The park turned out to be attached to the same park that we visited last Spring. It was about 1/2 acre and had plenty of scrub and trees for Abby to explore. We played Frisbee and just let her run around doing whatever she wanted.
When we were finished we drove up the canyon to Heber City. I hadn't been there since I left SLC as a kid. The small town is now big. It also has a lot of houses dotting the surrounding mountains. I suspect a lot of them are vacation homes. There was the best dog wash we've ever seen there. We gave Abby a bath and she came out sweet smelling and soft.
I kept feeling more run down and sick all day. The nasal drip didn't stop either. Every time I sneezed a big string of snot came out.
When we got home I sat down to videos. That lasted for about 10 minutes before a I took an hours long nap. Unfortunately I didn't feel any better when I woke up. I didn't feel like dinner, so I had a bowl of cereal and some bread.
I watched videos for a little while longer and then went to bed. I hope the fire snot doesn't affect me tonight, too.
