Day 3602

I woke up a little after 7, played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  After that handled the call from the Medicare people.  The bottom line is that I won't have to do any changes.

Then I started working on the stuff that I'd removed from the Audi.  There was 2 1/2 boxes of stuff.  I sorted things into piles.  One pile was interior stuff, one was for the stuff in the trunk box, one was for things that needed to be kept outside the car, and the last was for throw away.  I kept most of the interior stuff, but a lot of the trunk box contents got removed.

While I was doing that Ellen was messing with Medicare.  It took her a lot longer because she had to make some changes.  It was about 10:30 when she was finished I called Audi and told them we were coming to buy the car.

The rest of the day was spent buying the car.  They were busy.  It took a while to get to talk to the finance guy.  We had to sign a couple of dozen papers at least.  That's when we discovered that we hadn't gotten the title.  We had to drive back home, get the box key, drive to the bank, get the title, and then drive back to Audi.  We made a short stop at Wendy's to get lunch.

On the way back we almost got hit by and asshole from Michigan that ran a VERY red light.  Fortunately we didn't collide.

When we got back we waited a little while until the tech guy could program the car.  Then we waited some more until the finance guy was available to sign off the title.  Finally we got in the car with the tech guy for an orientation.  That was good.  We already had a half dozen questions

After that we stopped at HEB on the way home for some stuff.  When we got back in the car the radio didn't work.  The web says that it's a common problem.  CRAP.

Ellen went in to sit on the can and put the groceries away.  I took out the trunk box and installed it in the car.  I made sure that it's more secure than it was in the old car.  I also moved a couple of other things to the trunk.

By then it was almost 7.  We ate a pizza that we'd picked up at HEB.  I watched videos for a while.  I got bored and switched to surfing.  I looked for a couple of items on Amazon as well as looking up how to do the PPQ transfer and debug the backup lights.  I'm not sure that I can do that.  I'll probably throw money at the problem and take it to the place in Dripping Springs.
