A thunderstorm woke both of us up at 6. There was no chance of going back to sleep with all of the racket it was making. We played games for a long while before getting up for pet stuff and breakfast. The club sent a text saying that all times had been delayed by 45 minutes. That meant that Ellen's women's eventwouldn't happen until after 11.
I went out to the truck to see if any of the ammo in the back had been damaged. One case was damp, but the water hadn't gotten to the boxes inside. I put the boxes in one of the waterproof cases. Eventually we left for the club. By then the storm had passed and it was just cloudy.
Ellen shot the same score in the women's event as she had in the FITASC. She keeps making the same mistakes. She's always missing shots that I know she could make.
We had an hour before the K-cup. That wasn't enough time to eat, so we just sat in the truck and surfed. At least it wasn't hot today.
The K-cup wasn't as muddy as we expected it to be. The targets were like usual, a nice mix of easy, medium, and a few hard ones. I managed to suck on three stations. Ellen continued to not shoot as well as she could. Part of it might have been using the new gun.
We decided to eat by 1604 on the way home. We turned off to look at a new place on the way, but it wasn't open. Unfortunately the only exit led us to Culebra. It was a mess. There was a 1/4 to 1/2 mile traffic jam before getting to 1604. I got pissed and drove through some parking lots to get around it. Then I just drove home.
When we got home I put all of the shooting stuff away. With the new gun it barely fit under the bed. The pets got fed and then we ate BBQ for dinner. It was good. After that we sat down to videos. That turned into long naps for both of us.
When we woke up I watched videos for a little while longer and then went to bed.
