Day 1925

 I woke up about 8, but stayed in bed playing games.  It was one of those days when it was cold in the early morning.  It was sunny though, so it was sure to warm up.  We got up a little after 9, did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and started the wash.  There was a little surfing.  Then it was warm enough to go outside.

I went outside and got out all of the stuff needed to remove the apartment panels.  Ellen and I started by taking off the panel above the drip.  We couldn't find a leak in the pipe.  The insulation was wet though.  We removed the panel over the original leak.  It did not appear to be leaking  We loosened the panel by the AC.  At that point the pipes turn to the inside to go around a girder.  There was a lot of wet insulation, but no drips from the pipe.

I decided to leave everything open to dry out for a day.  I put typing paper under the whole length off exposed pipe.  That way any really tiny leaks will be exposed.  Then I put the tools away and we went inside for lunch. 

After lunch and some surfing I decided to attach another problematic task.  There were some tree limbs that were rubbing the internet cable.  I didn't want them to damage it.  I got out the ladder and strung wire to the tree.  The limbs were at the very top of the tree.

I spent some time cutting away old dead limbs at the bottom of the tree so that I'd have a place for the ladder.  Then Ellen held it while I climbed up and used the electric chainsaw on it's pole to cut some of the limbs.  Unfortunately it wasn't long enough to reach them all.  Ellen's asshole attached her then.  I used the time to reposition the ladder.  I also cut some more dead wood for access.

When Ellen was back I went up the ladder with the chainsaw.  Unfortunately it didn't reach.  I got out the pole saw and managed to cut the remaining branches.  Then I put everything away.  I checked the typing paper under the pipe.  No evidence of leaks.

I went back inside to surf.  Ellen went to Hog Heaven.  Just before dinner time I took out some garbage.  I checked the paper again.  This time it looked like there was leakage after the pipe turned towards the apartment.  I went inside and looked under the cabinets.  There's evidence of leaking at the back of the tall kitchen cabinet.  There's also evidence in the water heater cubby.  Finally the floor in front of the cabinet squishes.  That's where the leak is.  Unfortunately I'll either have to access it from the inside or somehow remove the panels by the AC.

I went inside to feed the pets.  Lucy could barely get up.  She was totally disoriented.  She couldn't navigate the house to find her food bowl.  When I led her there she didn't seem to recognize the food.  I put her outside.  Later I had to go get her because she couldn't find her way back from the back yard.  I did get her to eat a little when she came back in.

After that I put her back on the couch.  When Ellen came home she gave Lucy a pain pill.  She also got Lucy to eat a little more.  Lucy can barely stand.  We lead her to the bedroom and put her in her bed.  At eight I didn't even try to get her up.  Instead I brought in her Zukes.  She had a hard time chewing them.  I think her coordination is gone.  I'm pretty sure that tomorrow will be her last day. I cried a couple of time this evening.

The rest of the evening was YouTube.  When I tried to get Lucy out of bed before we went to bed she wouldn't get up.
