We got up about 8, did the pet stuff and had breakfast. We spent about half an hour surfing while we waited for it to warm up. Then we went out to the apartment.
I replaced the wall insulation that had fallen down while we were working. I stapled it up like it should have been in the first place. Ellen insulated some of the pipe while I used spray paint to mark the places of the patches on the foundation. Then I patched up the vapor barrier on one of the panels and put in the new insulation. Then we screwed the panel back down. I'm leaving the other two open for the next couple of days to dry out.
That was it for the work on the apartment today. We went back into the garage and moved the bike rack out to the truck. It took a while to remove the ball hitch. It's anti-theft hitch pin is a little tricky. Then we put the rack on the truck. I had to find another hitch pin and attach the stabilizer that I had for the trailer. It doesn't work all that well with more weight, so I might buy a new one.
We got out the bikes and put them on the rack. That took awhile as we were doing it for the first time. Two of the straps are too ling. Ellen is going to shorten them. The result is pretty sturdy though. Then we locked up the house and took the bikes to the bike path parking lot on 45.
We rode the bikes along the path. It's 4 miles long and goes along 45. There are informational plaques at several points along the way. We stopped at all of them. The weather was partly cloudy and a little cool. Perfect for the ride. We both enjoyed ourselves, but our legs were sore by the time we were finished.
It was 2 by the time we loaded the bikes back on the truck. We went to the Italian place for lunch. I needed milk and Ellen wanted a cake. So I went to HEB while she stayed in the truck because I hadn't locked the bikes.
When we got home we unloaded the mikes and went into the house. Ellen watched chick flicks for the rest of the day. I did YouTube and played games. Dinner was frozen food.
