I got up at 7:30, but played games for about an hour. Then it was pet stuff and breakfast. Whn that was done it was a little surfing followed by out to the garage.
Putting together the wiring harness for the pantry light was a bit more work than I thought it would be. It didn't help that I decided to ditch all of the stuff I did yesterday because I came up with a better design. The new design involved a lot of soldering. It's worth it though, because the end result will look a lot neater. I did have two problems though.
The first was the difficulty in removing the plastic covering over the soldering pads on the LED strip. I ended up scraping it off a small piece at a time with my thumbnail. The second problem was my own stupidity. I wired the leads on the first strip wrong. It took me a while to figure that out. By them time I finished the harness at 1:00 I didn't want to work anymore. So I quit. At least I have a working harness ready to be installed.
I went back into the house. I needed bananas, so we left for the grocery. The whole area was a mad house. Traffic on 290 was backed up to Convict Hill. I was hungry so I stopped at Mickey D's. It was packed. There was no way to go anywhere East, so we went around Goodwill and back to Convict Hill.
By then I wanted a hamburger and a beer - bananas could wait. We decided to go to Doc's. Traffic was backed up on Brodie for multiple light cycles. When we got to Doc's there was a waiting line. We finally ate at Mighty Fine burgers. At least they had bottled beer.
For some reason going West was easy. We stopped at the post office and HEB. HEB was packed.
When we got home I wasn't interested in an more work. I spent some time watching videos. Then I sat in the recliner and had a nap.
Ellen fixed pork chops for dinner. They were really good. After dinner it was TV and games. I'm a little burnt out on videos.
