Day 2878

We woke up at 7, played games for a while, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  Then we waited a little while for the eclipse to start.

A group of people from the park gathered at the BBQ area.  It had a nice clear view of the sun.   We stood around talking and looking at the eclipse through dark glasses.  The weather was perfect and we actually got a better view of things than the one we saw at the coast.  It wasn't total, but 94% was pretty entertaining.  There was a small tree nearby and I got some cool pictures of the half circle leaf shadows.

When the eclipse was over I drained the tanks.  It took forever.   There were two reasons.  First I kept making mistakes which cost me time.  Second, there were three hoses in use because the sewer connection was at the very back of the pad.  Eventually it got finished though.

When I was done we took Abby to the park.  There weren't any dogs, so I got in some good retrieves.  There was a lot of activity at the airport next door, so she kept getting distracted.  We ended up walking around the park while Abby ran around.  Eventually she tired out and we left.

We went to the place we'd gone to two days ago for lunch.  The service was much worst than it was before.  There was no one at the service desk, so we couldn't get a seat.  People were standing around and going to the bar with menus.  We gave up and went to another place a block away.  It was good food and they actually wanted to serve the customers.

After lunch we went back to the no-service place for their great dessert.  Again there didn't seem to be any service people working there.

We were planning on going to the bridge, but decided to give it a miss.  Instead we just filled up the truck at Maverick and went home.  I lined up the truck for tomorrow.  Then we spent the rest of the evening on videos and surfing.
