Day 2883

The dog woke us up about 7.  Ellen took her out while I fed everyone.  Then we went back to bed to doze and play games.  We got up in about an hour to have breakfast.  Then we took the dog to the park.

The park was empty.  Abby ran around for a while on her own.  Eventually that got boring and she came over to do some retrieves.  After a significant number of retrieves she got hot/tired and went back to exploring the park.  That got boring so it was back to retrieves.  After a few more of those she was tied and we went home.

We left the dog in the trailer and went to the desert museum.  It had expanded a lot since we were there the last time - probably at least 10 years ago.  We spent hours walking through the exhibits.  They are all outdoors and it was hot.  By the time we were done it was 100 degrees.  The coolest thing we did was feed stingrays.  We also had lunch.  Ellen had a good hamburger and I had lousy flatbread pizza.

The truck started a regen on the way home.  CRAP.  We ended up driving an extra 12 miles to make sure it was a full regen.  The regen stopped at 27% ash level.  That later dropped to 24%.  CRAP.  The good news was that the rate of increase in the ash is a lot less than the last time.  We haven't driven far enough yet to see how much less.

We stopped at the trailer to let out the dog.  Then we put her back and went to the grocery store for much needed foodstuffs.  After that it was back to the trailer to hide out from the heat.

The rest of the afternoon and evening was a repeat of yesterday.   Videos, naps, and leftovers for dinner.
