We woke up at 7:15, fed the pets, put the guns in the truck, and left for the club. The drive wasn't bad at all even though it was rush hour. In fact, everyone was driving significantly above the speed limit. It's lucky we weren't going east an Ajo. It had a mile long traffic jam. Westbound was fine.
We got to the club and got a card and cart. Then it was off to shoot. We shot the red course and some of the FITASC. They were all good targets and we had fun. Abby liked it, too. We let her run beside us once, but she didn't like it. It was after 10 when we were done and it was getting hot.
We went back to the club and had breakfast. It was really good and not very expensive. We had the cart for the whole day, so we went back out and just drove around. It was hot but comfortable with the wind from the cart movement. We turned in the cart a little after noon. It was 100 degrees.
We stopped at a pet store on the way back. We bought Abby a couple of toys. She's been tearing them apart in the last couple of days. We also got her some dog ice cream. Then it was home to hide from the heat in the trailer. Abby loved one of the new toys and immediately started tearing it apart. Fortunately it's built pretty sturdy.
Video watching turned into nap time. Ellen fixed BLT's with salami for dinner. After dinner we took Abby on a walk through the park. It's dark by 6 here because there isn't daylight saving time.
When we ot back Ellen watched chick flicks and I surfed. It was a good Human/doggy day.
