Another nice day, but kind of windy. The morning was spent the way Sunday mornings should be spent - reading the Sunday paper. That killed the entire morning.
We took pity on the dog since she had such a unexciting day yesterday. We took her to the park. She looked so happy prancing around when we let her out of the truck. We did the regular tour around the park and through the woods. She scared up a bunch of tweety birds that acted a lot like quail. They flew off and landed in a draw that bisects the park. We left them alone and went on to the woods. After we got out of the woods I had Lucy "hunt" the draw. She found the birds and ran right through them. I think that's because they didn't smell like game birds.
After the park tour I had her do retrieves. The wind was blowing hard so I was able to throw the bumper at least 60 yds. She did over 25 of these long retrieves before we called it quits. She was willing to do more, but she didn't object too much when we stopped. Tonight she is a really tired doggy.
Dinner was, what else, leftover lasagna and pie from the potluck.
