We didn't go out on New Year's day. We figured it was a good time to let all of the people who work for a living get their errands done. Instead we just hung around the trailer and surfed the web. It was a short morning anyway since we slept in. This staying up until after 1 AM isn't like it used to be. The new computer is slick. Of course it has a small display and keyboard, but it's compact, light, and quite powerful. Battery life seems to be about what was advertised - 6 hours.
In the afternoon both the dog and us were getting a little stir crazy. The weather was OK (60 degrees), so we went over to the park. The dog got her run through the woods followed by a set of retrieves. A couple of little boys came over to watch her retrieve (Mommy followed). I let them through the bumper for Lucy. They were thrilled. We struck up a conversation with Mommy. She was decompressing from having 13 relatives staying at her house over Christmas. Better her than us.
