Day 103

Since we didn't get home until about 8:00 last night, today was virtual wash day.

We called the realtor, but she isn't available until tomorrow. We took the time to do some research to decide what prices to offer on a couple of houses. The one we like best is very overpriced. They are asking $50,000 (that's nearly 20%) over the appraised value. We feel that the appraised value is generous. The second house is priced near its appraised value. However the house is beat up and isn't really worth that much. We figure either house needs $8,000 to $10,000 of work to make it what we want.

Because we'll be making low offers, we're going to make both offers at the same time. If we can't make a deal on one of these houses, there are two others that we'll make offers on.

By the afternoon the dog was driving us nuts. She didn't get to run much yesterday, so she had two days of energy stored up. We took her to the back of the park where she did over 40 retrieves. She also had some face time with another dog. Unfortunately she snapped at the other dog, so we didn't let them get too close.

I won a shared pot at Bingo. I was very close on a couple of other games. On the rest I wasn't even in the ballpark. Ellen struck out.

We have an appointment to make the offers tomorrow morning. We were going to go shooting too, except that it's supposed to rain cats and dogs tomorrow.
