It was cold this morning. Just about freezing. We got up "early" so that we could help take down the Christmas decorations at the park. There was quite a lot to do - three clubhouses and the outdoor decorations. There was even an outdoor nativity scene. The work went relatively easily because there were a lot of people helping. We were done before noon.
After that it was time to go to the grocery store. We hadn't been there in a while and the cupboards were getting pretty bare. Apparently this was a common problem. We met several people from the park at the store when we were there.
When we got home we decided that we had done enough useful things for the day. Time to surf and read. By late in the afternoon the dog was going crazy. We took her to the back of the park and threw the bumper for her.
I decided it was finally time to update the laptop to Windows 7. Ordinarily I'd resist doing something like this. However, Vista truly sucks. The update DVD came in the mail weeks ago. I'm finally willing to try it because we're not looking online for a house right now and I've got a backup (the new netbook). I didn't get far. The first step recommended by Toshiba is to construct a set of restore disks. I don't have media, so I'll have to go out and get some tomorrow.
