Day 87

It's Monday, so it's time to go grocery shopping. What a thrill. One of the propane tanks went empty also.

Getting the propane was interesting. In Texas a special license (from the Railroad Agency) is required to sell propane. That means there aren't many places that do. We had to drive 10 miles to get to a place that did. Also many people in the hill country heat with propane. It's cheaper than electricity and there are no natural gas lines in the developments. Since everyone already has propane tanks, there is little incentive for the gas company to extend the lines. Not many people would hook up. The person at the propane store said that over the last week during the cold weather they had used 4 truckloads of propane. The trucks were 18 wheelers. That's an awful lot of propane.

We spent the rest of the day looking online for houses. We haven't heard back from the sellers concerning the offer we made. I suspect that the divorce is screwing something up.
