It was cold today. The high temp for the day was 31. Wife needed to go out to get a haircut and dye job. After that we did something stupid. We gave into the dog and took her to the park. It was 29 degrees and there was a light wind. Even the light wind made it feel significantly colder. I stood with my back to the wind and threw 60 retrieves. With the wind assisted throws, that equates to about 2 miles of running for the dog. She was still willing to do more, but she didn't object too much when we quit. The whole exercise took a very cold 25 minutes.
Wife called the local dog breeder and confirmed that we will probably have to go to northern OK to get the dog bred. I hope that global warming takes over by then and melts the snow before we have to go.
No word on the house offer yet. I'll give them until Monday and then I think we better start looking for alternatives.
