Day 20

We went to Dripping Springs today to get a safe. It hurt my soul to pay $50 in sales tax.

The process of getting it installed in the house was a lot of work, but no big problems. Getting it out of the truck was easier then I thought it would be. So was getting it over the threshold. The hard part started when we got to the bathroom door. There wasn't enough room to get the hand truck through the door. We ended up going to Harbor Freight to get a furniture dolly to put it on.

I took the opportunity of the trip to pick up a set of masonry bits and some anchor bolts. So the time spent going out wasn't wasted. Lucy didn't think it was wasted either, since we stopped at the park to run her on the way back.

The dolly made the move into the bathroom and the closet fairly painless. One thing for sure, we couldn't have got a bigger safe in there. I didn't feel like attaching the thing to the floor today, so I'll do it tomorrow.
