I actually got up early (before 9:00) today so that I could finish the boards for the vent. There was a big thunderstorm last night about 4:30. The thunder was so loud that it shook the house. Ellen said that it dropped between 1/2 and 1 inch of rain. It's amazing how fast the grass gets green around here. The last rain and this rain has turned most of the front lawn green.
I went out and finished the boards. I sanded the ends some more to make them fit, cut notches in them, and finish sanded them. They are ready for painting. I fished out the stain that the dumbshits used to refinish the kitchen cabinets. It looks like it will do for matching the new wood.
We hadn't been to the post office in a few days. So we went to Lowes and I got a little bit of hardware for the vent. I also figured out how I'm going to do the vent. I'm actually going to put in a soffit vent (assuming that it will fit). I'm going to use dryer vent hose to connect to the fan. I can't buy any of this stuff until I cut the hole for the vertical vent. I'm not sure exactly where the joist will be.
We also stopped at HEB for more mojito mix. I'm beginning to like those things.
We took the truck because it's been a week since it was run. The EGT guage isn't running. It's stuck on 2,000 degrees. I suspect that the sensor is screwed up. It will probably be expensive to fix.
