Day 32

Friday is estate sale day. We went to one sale in an area west of Austin that we had never been to before. There's lots of money in Austin. It's about the size of Portland. Portland has its rich neighborhoods. They are relatively constrained. Austin has huge areas of million dollar homes. They are all over. This was one of them. It went on for miles. We didn't see anything there that we liked.

We went to the store of one of the estate sale companies. They had some neat stuff at surprisingly good prices. We only bought a couple of Christmas ornaments. We also went to an authentic estate sale way north, almost to Round Rock. We bought a few small items: ant killer, a bird feeder, and a bird house (for Patsy).

I was tired of it all by then, so we started home. We stopped at Rudy's to replenish our brisket supply. We also stopped at Randal's to see what their Friday special was. It was roast chicken. It wasn't a total loss. We found several other things on sale that we bought.

The soft water last night was nice. The dishes came out of the dishwasher much cleaner. The water out of the reverse osmosis tastes great. It was nice to actually rinse all of the shampoo out of my hair.
