They came to install the softener today. They had to completely redo the well house plumbing. When they got finished, the new setup is a thing of beauty. You can shut off all three outputs (house, apartment, and trailer) individually. You can also drain the pressure tank without affecting the rest of the system. The well house now has both soft and hard water spigots in it.
Inside the house they put in the new faucet. Getting the old one out was a nasty job - they had to cut it out with a saws-all. They also replaced the reverse osmosis system with a new one. The new one is a higher quality one than the salesman said that we were going to get.
While they were doing that, I got ambitious. I finished the cart and cleaned up all the tools that were lying around. Then I went up into the attic to look at what it would take to put in a vented stove fan. Of course there's a joist in the way, but it looks doable. While I was there I sealed some spots on the furnace plenum that I've been meaning to do for a year. I also redid the antenna connection for the bedroom. The connector was bad, but I'm not sure that fixed the problem.
I also replaced the cable input on the trailer. The old input was a design that made it really hard to connect the cable. The new one is much better.
We're going out after they leave to get a plug for the sink. The new faucet uses one less hole than the old one. I'll probably price out what I need for a vented stove fan.
