It was an OK day today - cloudy, but in the low 60's. It was finally time to remove the tape on the control panel. It came out pretty good. There were just a few places where the tape pulled up the paint underneath. I went out to the garage and fixed them by spraying a little paint on a non-porous board and then using a brush to do the touch up.
I was going to put on a clear sealer, but when I shook the can I couldn't hear the ball. The can had a GI Joe's price tag on it, so I guess it had died of old age.
So off we went. We were going to go to the post office, but 290 was backed up to 1826. I'm not sure what was wrong. I pulled a u-turn and went back to Slaughter. That made the first stop the park. Lucy had a good time. She tried to socialize with a couple of old labs, but they didn't want to play.
Traffic sucked all over. It took 4 cycles of the lights to get from the park to Loop 1. We went to the yuppie grocery and bought some shrimp for dinner. Melissa called. They landed in Houston. It should take them until 7 to get here. We ate at a grill outside the grocery. We had bacon and grilled cheese sandwiches with some expensive lemonade. It was great.
On the way home we stopped at Office Depot so I could get some labeling tape for the control panel. We also got a can of sealer at Home Depot. Loop 1 was backed up to Davis. So I turned off at Davis and went back on Escarpment.
Now we're waiting for Melissa and John to show up.
