Today is Wednesday, and I'm trying to write what happened on Sunday. Melissa and John came in yesterday evening. They were a little tired (surprise, surprise) so we talked a little and they went to bed.
We woke up early (for us) at 7:30. It was actually 6:30 because of the Daylight Savings Time change. It was raining, light at times and hard on others. pretty hard. That pretty much ruled out doing anything outside. We went to a park west of downtown anyway. It was on a hill and offered a great view of the river and downtown Austin. At least it would have if it hadn't been so foggy that we could barley see across the river. We did get to see some pretty impressive houses below us on the river.
After that we went to County Line for lunch. They were impressed with the food - both taste and quantity.
Melissa and John like museums, so we went to the Texas history museum. It's on about 14th and Congress. It was a really nice museum, we spent hours there. After that we walked the three blocks to the Capitol. It's an impressive building. We didn't go in because I was carrying a knife.
On the way home we drove down South Congress so they could see some of weird Texas. Even though it was raining, there wasn't any parking.
That evening we surfed a little and watched Guardians of the Galaxy.
