I didn't get to bed until almost 3 this morning. I was finishing the second season of Justified. I woke up at 8, but I felt I needed more than 6 hours of sleep. So I went back to sleep and Ellen woke me up at 10. We talked for awhile. She didn't get in until 2 and stayed at a hotel last night.
After breakfast I worked on the layout. I spent about three hours testing all of the low level track except the main line. It all works. I started to test the mainline and ran into problems. I think it's mainly just oxidation, but I didn't feel like doing any more debugging, so I quit.
I went back to the house and ate lunch. Then I surfed the afternoon away. I also got a couple of squirrels. I snuck up on the first one from behind the wisteria. Unfortunately I shot it a little back from the heart. It ran to the edge of the yard and suffered a little before I could shoot it again. The second was super wary. It ran halfway up the tree when it saw me moving in the living room. I had to stand still for 5 minutes until it started eating again.
It climbed back onto the wooden feeder, so I went out to the gate and lined up on it. When t popped up, it saw me and ran to the back fence. It just sat there, so I shot it. This was a good shot, in the heart.
The rest of the day and evening was spent surfing and watching TV (no Justified).
