It's time to start doing the springtime chores. I decided to start with washing and waxing the truck. It took me an hour and a half to wash it. That was because the lousy water we have wouldn't rinse off the soap. So after i washed the truck I had to go back over the entire thing with a wet rag and a towel. I's wet down 4 sq feet or so and then rub it hard with the towel. It was like waxing the truck.
After I finished with that I went inside and had lunch. It was a nice day, warm and breezy. So I had a beer and did some reading on the back porch. After a couple of hours I went out to finish the job. Waxing the truck went pretty normally. Washing and waxing did take enough time that I ended up with a pretty good sunburn on my back. I'll have to wear a shirt for any other outside activities.
I basically didn't do anything for the rest of the day. I surfed a little and watched a couple of episodes of Justified. I haven't eradicated the squirrels. Another showed up today. I'm mad at myself because I missed a perfect shot at him.
Lucy was funny when we went out to get the mail. She's figured out that the magic food bowl is broken. So instead of running to the house when I open the gate she walks around and does some patrolling.
