Today was a pretty good day. I got up around 8 and did the usual morning things. It rained a little last night and today was cool and windy. I decided it was a good time to take the dog to Circle C. We walked all the way around the park. Apparently cleaning out the culverts in the walkway lets enough water through that it doesn't flood anymore. Lucy did 20 water retrieves as well as doing retrieves all the way around the park.
After that I picked up the mail. Of course there was a tax document in it. Then I went to Randall's for some groceries and Radio Shack for some contact cleaner.
When I got home I had lunch and then went out to work on the layout. The Radio Shack cleaner had a dry lube in it, so it was worthless. I used gun cleaner instead. It took off an amazing amount of stuff. When I was done, the track worked about like I expected. I tested everything except one siding.
I couldn't test the siding because I hadn't wired it. I forgot that I didn't wire the siding or the north side of the main line because I couldn't lift up that end of the layout. So I drilled holes, moved the eye bolts, and lifted up that side. Then I spent about 2 hours completing the wiring. I got done about mail box time, so I'll probably test it tomorrow. I'm sure it will be all right.
After dinner I looked for estate sales. There's one I will definitely go to, and another I might go to.
Tonight is more TV and surfing.
