Day 167

We decided to take some stuff to Goodwill today. Some of it was old clothes that Ellen didn't want. The rest was stuff that the sellers left - an aquarium, a small TV, and an office chair with a ripped seat. Goodwill wouldn't take the chair. Apparently they don't repair things anymore. That's a shame as it's a nice chair, it just needs recovering. I'm going to have to take it apart and put it in the garbage can. That's a waste.

We stopped by Home Depot (I think there's a pattern there) and got some blinds for a kitchen window and the makings for a shelf in the garage. I got the blinds installed. Then we had to leave to look at a sewing table. It turned out to be too small (it was also too beat up). I'm going to bag looking at Craig's list item until after we go to Wimberley on Saturday.

I also whittled (literally) a piece to repair one of the posts on the four poster bed. It improved the post, but the post is still a little wobbly. I don't think that there's much more to be done unless I want to permanently attach it to the bed.

Ellen got the second coat on the woodwork. I'm not sure if it will need a third coat.
