Day 181

It rained today. Heavily at times. That sort of threw a wrench into my plans, since the main tasks that I wanted to do were outside. Maybe it will be better tomorrow, but the forecast isn't promising.

Instead I went to the apartment and finished installing all of the trim that the sellers had neglected to complete. After that I went to the garage and started cleaning it up. I put everthing away and cleaned up the work bench and floor. Then I started to unpack the last box - marked "misc junk". I wish I'd done that before. It wasn't junk. It contained tools and hardware. Included was picture hanging wire, deck screws, and metal tape. I didn't have to buy those things - I already had them. Oh well.

After everything was put away I started looking at the ammo from the truck. I knew it had gotten wet, but I didn't know that some cases had gotten soaked. That pisses me off, as I had it wrapped up tight in a tarp. Anyway I've thrown half a case of shells away and I suspect I'll have to throw away at least another box. That's after reclaiming a lot of them with sand paper and emery cloth.

I neglected to mention that the washer developed a problem on Tuesday. It's valves leak. I had to turn off the water to it. I spent some time on Craig's list looking for another. I've got some leads to follow up.

Ellen spent the whole day on the western and surfing.
