Spent part of the day on prep. Put the hitch back in the truck and packed in the other things that have to ride in the truck bed.
I was going to get the trailer ready, but there isn't any need to. The damn trailer park in Fredericksburg won't let us in until noon. It's only a 90 minute drive, so there will be plenty of time tomorrow morning to get ready to go.
So I spent the afternoon ripping the last 5 CD's that I've accumulated. I acquired about 50 CD's on the trip. They are all going to stay here, there's no reason to take them north. I've got over 60 albums to listen to on the trip that I've never heard before. They will have to compete with the comedy on the satellite radio.
We bought groceries and gassed up in the evening. The next time we leave it will be for 6 months. All we have left to do is set the alarm and lock the doors.
Ellen made reservations for the first couple of nights. It's a 2,500 mile trip. We discovered that we'll have to travel a little farther when we cross int NM than we were planning. The parks in Los Cruces are a ripoff so we'll have to go another 60 miles to Deming.
