We spent the morning just reading and surfing. We were really killing time until noon. That's when this dog oriented event was happening in West Austin. We drove up there with Lucy to participate.
It was kind of fun. There were about 2 dozen dog oriented booths - rescue organizations, pet sitting, vets, pet supplies, etc. We walked around and looked at everything. Of course there were lots of dogs around so Lucy got to smell a large quantity of asses. She seemed to enjoy it.
The event was held in this small park adjacent to a strip mall/apartment complex. We ate lunch on the patio of a place that specialized in having a gazillion types of beers. One was Guinness, so I was happy. The food was really good, too. Every other table had a dog at it.
After lunch we went back and watched the wiener dog races. It was getting hot though, and there was no shade. So we took the long way home, driving all the way in on Lamar. It was interesting to see a part of Austin that we hadn't been at before.
When we got home, everyone took a nap.
