Today felt like back to the grindstone. I got up in the morning when it was "cool" (75 degrees with high humidity). I got the mower out and started mowing. Since it hasn't really rained in many months, it was very dusty. There were several times when the dust was so heavy I couldn't see to mow. I was sweating like a pig and ended up with mud on my face.
I learned the hard way about rocks. I put big dents in both the car and the truck when the mower threw them. We're going to need to buy touchup paint for both vehicles. The dumbshits hadn't locked down one of the valve covers in the lawn, so the lawnmower ate it.
Mowing took about three hours. When I was finished I immediately took a shower. It took a lot of effort to pull the twigs and leaves out of my hair. I was digging particles of Texas out of my eyes for the rest of the day.
Then it was off to find a new valve cover. Lowe's, Home Depot, and McCoy's all had them - in the wrong size. I finally just bought a smaller one. When I got home I jammed it in place.
In the evening a lady called about the swimming pool. She's coming by tonight to look at it. The flake with the CD cabinet also e-mailed. Supposedly we'll be able to look at it on Thursday.
Tomorrow I'll finish up the lawn by weedeating it. That will complete the yard work except for putting down the Casoron.
