There were now estate sales yesterday, but we made up for it today. We started out by going to an upscale estate sale near Freescale. The guy putting it on obviously just wanted to get rid of things and didn't care how much he got for it. We got two large boxes of Knex and Lego, plus a brand new cribbage board, and a kid's songbook for $15. I also got a Niles Audio cooling fan for $20. I now have two pieces of Niles Audio gear. I never thought I'd get that sort of stuff at estate sales.
We had gotten a late start and went to the estate sale first. That meant that the Mexicans had pretty much cleaned out Circle C. They literally had pickup trucks full of stuff that they had bought. We drove around for a couple of hours anyway just stopping wherever there was a sale that looked interesting. We picked up a few CD's and that's about it.
Of course many people were selling baby stuff. We decided to get another baby carriage to make into a gun cart. I got a $250 jogging stroller for $15.
By noon people were putting what was left away and pulling down the signs.
We went over to a cafe that was listed as dog friendly. Yeah, right. They let you tie your dog in the sun while you eat on their covered deck. We passed.
When we got home I took the extraneous things off the baby carriage. It's now read to install the gun racks. I also found out that there's a lizard living in the garage. He's one of the small ones that Lucy likes to chase. He's about 10" long.
